The Mechanics of Power and the Search for Truth
"Democracy has already killed many truths. We cannot allow this to continue."
We created this project — Mundo Político — as a space dedicated to those who seek to understand the game of power and refuse to be held hostage by manipulations and misleading narratives. Change can only happen when we become active agents of it, and the first step is to understand how the system truly works.
The Socratic Critique
Democracy, as we know it, allows the people to vote for who will govern them. However, the father of Philosophy, Socrates, was wary of this method. In one of humanity's most significant cases, Socrates' idea was put to the test in his own trial. Before 500 Athenians, by a narrow margin in the vote, he was condemned to death by hemlock. By the method of voting, philosophy — the relentless pursuit of truth — was wronged by people who did not fully understand what that vote was about.
This same historical injustice became evident in the condemnation of another man. The people, democratically, condemned to death a man without crime: Jesus Christ. He who not only sought the truth but was the Truth itself.
Our Purpose
This is the political world we live in. We understand that knowledge is the best way to shield society against the failures of the "majority rule" devoid of moral and intellectual backing. Our efforts are focused on promoting the means for facts, economics, and geopolitics to be interpreted through the lens of irrefutable logic (Austrian School) and individual sovereignty.
